SOME MOUTHFUL OF VOMIT FROM KITG (PRE-2ND ISSUE RELEASE)

Oh hellcrap it's been 2 months since we last updated this shit! Well there have been numerous issues as always...still adjusting to my current situation here my mailing address and postal stuff have not been addressed yet so I find it hard to do transactions via mail (i.e. merch orders, promos and trades) Nontheless, I keep myself productive in my own ways...I'm halfway completting the zine just waiting for a couple of responses and a handful of reviews then I can start doing the lay out for the next issue which apperently be our 2nd issue (technically it's our 4th issue).

I am still accepting review materials well you may want to send me a digital format of your demo or current release if you want it to be included on the coming issue but as always a cool promotional copy would gladly be accepted and appreciated. Write first before sending anything knifeinthegutzine@yahoo.com

As for trades we can only provide a copy of the 1st issue through digital format, feel free to download it here http://knifeinthegut.blogspot.it/search/label/DOWNLOADS it's on PDF (PoserDudeFuckoff) format. All trade materials (worthy) sent will be reviewed as well. It should be a zine not just any shitwiper material for it to be reviewed.

Also, as part of a way up ahead project that I am thinking of lately, I'm planning of putting a compilation CD, starting on the 3rd issue which is automatically be in the works. Also will be a part of a KITG production under a distro/promotion/label from the Philippines as part of expansion. Stay tuned for more inputs and throwups about this project.

Submission of any form of contribution/s is/are always welcome but please do not guarantee any response for a corresponding trade if we did not made a deal whatsoever, that's why we advise you to please contact us first and let us make something agreeable before anything else. Being wrongfully accused of ripping-somebody-off would be the last in 10 things that we would want to be known for (hehe). These are my words and the picture that appears below is me, please make no unnecessary attempt to make me famous by spreading my photo. Cheers and keep up for the latest news and updates...Until next post! Beers and Cheers!

KITG CREW SUNK THEIR KNIVES TO OEF ASIA (JAKARTA, INDONESIA)

My friend Emman of Delusion of Terror told me he just made it back home after a week vacation and a memorable escapade in Jakarta, Indonesia initially to see Obscene Extreme Fest Asia. I was informed how lucky he and 4 of our KITG allies who brought their asses to Indonesia to see the event. And I was .5 as lucky as these guys are enough to get a souvenir shirt and a CD compilation courtesy of my friend Emman, who also bring his own ammunitions to Indonesia through his cartel DOT records.  The event was held on a mountain foot somewhere in Jakarta or a close town, this was technically the first OEF held outside Czech Republic the home to OEF where grind and extreme musick people and bands meet annually also this mark the first show for the biggest and most ambitious extreme fest which will also be held in 3 other continents besides Europe and was dubbed as Obscene Extreme world tour. First was in America (Mexico last March 29\30), Asia (April 6), Australia (April 12\13) and the main event to be held on OEF battlefield in Czech Rep. July 3/7. As of this writing OEF may already have finished the series of 3 world tours and aimed to be deadlier than ever as it hosts the mother of all extreme festivals in July.

This was supposed to be racked up by my fellas but seemingly they have enjoyed the tour more on covering the show, we’ll probably have the diary ready on the printed version of the zine hopefully in much spectacle detail. I was checking updates and news from the OEF official website and was able to get the response and the conclusion from Curby himself the man who made this all possible. I am eager to get to know how he and people have reacted specifically the Asian leg, well similar to what my expectations are in turned out to be successful first for getting it all started and finished BUT unsuccessful for most of it for all the shit things that had happened not to mention the loss in terms of financial matter the guys of OEF incurred. This is SouthEast Asia that they may not have fully reconciled with considering distance and other barriers is unavoidable I’m not judging Indonesias credibility but as the whole South East Asian community atleast for the initial or for the first time not sure though if there would be another. For sure Indonesia may hold currently the most active and fan supportive extreme punks in terms of number in comparison to Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Philippines but like what I’ve seen in most DIY shows specifically the one that I saw from the CLUSTERBOMB UNIT tour DVD where they had documented nearly the entire Indonesian punk and DIY scene.

And as mentioned by Curby on his report, it didn’t turned out to be good in terms of meeting the number of attendees to come and see the show to cover all the expenses if not at least to get even with it from the entrance fee, not only beacuse of the extremely bad weather on that very same night but because most kids wouldn’t pay that much or wouldn't at all, admittedly this is far way too capitalist or unethical to DIY subculture this isn’t a personal view but from what I’ve seen and read from bands that had toured such countries like Indonesia or the Philippines and this isn’t something new to our region I had worst experiences on my own country as well. The whole idea was brilliant, experience and the cause was exalting for every fan and supporter but this isn’t just fun always with all these exuberant productions and establishing an organization to facilitate and host a massive festivity only akin to big time promoters for famous artists and international commercial acts. Truly it can never match any experience being with different people from across Asia and the globe from AGATHOCLES to ROTTEN SOUND to BIRDFLESH and gathering of Asia’s finest grindcore and extreme bands UNHOLY GRAVE, DEMISOR, WORMROT, FID, EXTREME DECAY, JASAD, TOOLS OF THE TRADE, PROLETAR and the rest all in one hell of a fest but the risk of losing big in a gamble and ending it up with a punch in the face was always terrible and lasting memory of a disaster for a promoter.

Got some photos to share courtesy of RAPEDASS and TRIGGERHIPPIE (KITG crew):

MALIGNANT TUMOUR: Italia Overdosed Tour (Roma)

I was lucky to bring my old digital cam with me, eventhough it wasn't in HD quality atleast I was able to capture a scene from the memorable show held at Metropoliz during the most recent Malignant Tumour Italian Tour (Italia Overdosed Tour. Roma leg). This was from Malignant Tumour's openning song "We Paint the Town Red" from the album IN FULL SWING (2008)

EMBALMED ZINE (DEBUT ISSUE: SANCTORUM) DIY AND CUT AND PASTE ERA

What I got here are photos from my first zine which I started between 1995 to 1996. I managed to do 2 issues of it 3rd wasn't really been published and got wiped out along the fucking way together with dust and filth from my old room. This wasn't realeased in volume or have been printed in terms of number. I only sent out a few copies to contacts and bands that I featured, more like 10-15 copies (photo copies) not even a backup original copy had been spared so I am lost without anything as a souvenir from the old days.

It was during my high school days when I get into the whole penpal and tape trading thing back then it was the only possible thing you can get to correspond with a foreign counterpart who share the same interest and taste in musick or activity whatever you want to call it. So I get tapes a few zines and CDs or 7" and more letters in the mailbox almost everyday since I was addicted to mailing and recycling stamps to cover up postage I got to get a bulk of stuff and collectibles. Just as when everybody is doing a zine of their own back then inspired by a zine section from Metal Maniacs the only mag that we can get from a local bookstore from my country; I started the whole thing and created my own so it was the birth of EMBALMED ZINE. Armed with a vintage 70's model type writter and rims of letter sized bond paper I got to type reviews and rants and later decided to add interviews from bands that I've been in contact with.

Imagine how long the intervals of receiving replies from bands you wanted to do an interview with and the only thing you'll get as a response is to send the interview questions there are certain occasions that I send blind questions so I wouldn't have to wait for any approval should the band agreed to be featured. What a fucking hassle and waste of precious time but tell you what there aren't anything you could replace in terms of experience and excitement whenever you get something from the mailbox specially if it has some thick thing inside.

The detailed history was noted on my current zine's intro part so you can get an idea what had happened along the way with EMBALMED I absolutely had no recollections of what were the other 2 issues has in terms of contents I suck at commitments and time alotment so that may be the reason I lost all those papers or maybe it's still is in some stockpile of papers in the storage who knows if I can still get them when I comeback 2 or 3 years from now.

As mentioned this wasn't my copy that I am sharing here, with this section I manage to put all the remaining scanned copy of the original zine I got from John from the band SENTENSYA which was also been featured on this issue. These words that I am typing maybe longer interms of contents than the normal zine I had in much dismay I wasn't gifted on such talents to create an original at least an eyeopping lay out to make the zine more interesting but since I only want to share it so I am putting this anyways. I am putting only a few pages should you need a copy which I definitely doubt feel free to email knifeinthegutzine to request for this junk.

The 2nd issue was released but only a few people were given a copy including the newsletter which I also created same date after completing the second issue of EMBALMED it was named SUNK THE KNIFE IN THE GUT. I will find a way to look for the pieces on my pile hopefully it is not consumed by dust or been eaten by rats.
