SENTENSYA (BRUTAL DEATH METAL FROM LUCENA CITY, PHILIPPINES)

Lucena City is a small town in the Southern region of the coastal part of Luzon (PHILIPPINES) which apparently is also my birth place. So this is were my first zine (EMBALMED) came from and an unknown evil entity in a form of a band called SENTENSYA which many of my country metalhead brothers doesn't know that such have existed. EMBALMED was released in print sometime 1996 featuring an interview with SENTENSYA a pioneering and only death metal band that had existed in seemingly a decade or so. The band have manage to complete 2 recorded materials (demo) not entirely an active band throughout the years of their existence they were on and off most of the time due to other personal priorities and distance. 5 song demo tape was recorded on 1995 and were sent to various zines for reviews and several trade pals few local gigs was merely an exposure so the name wasn't really something that most Filipino metal supporter is familiar with. The band not for long decided to call it a day and members have gone to different interests, some point  later decided to form project bands like CATACOMBS OF THE IMMORTALS and CRYSTAL BROKE.

This is my tribute entry to the cult death metal band that had ever existed from my hometown and made their own effort to make atleast our small town be part of anything METAL in the Philippines.

The last offerings from SENTENSYA (recorded 2010) - unreleased

This will be SENTENSYA's last material prior to the band's hiatus. We are currently arranging of releasing this much awaited 2nd material (EP), 3 of the tracks weren't completted (no vocals) considering the members distance, current personal situations and schedules. We are seeking distributions or labels for production.
