2 other bands are featured on this occassion, KRYDOME (old school Death Metal from Rimini, IT also have the same members of the grindcore band MUCULORDS) and DIORRHEA (grindcore band from Fano, who also is promoting their split material with the SouthEast Asian Political Grinders PROLETAR (Indonesia).
As usual, I was there early and the venue has just openned when I arrived. Good thing I bring a couple of beers (canned) to get my energy up. No need to emphasize how long was the wait and the things I do to kill time. The stage was up and was set probably as early as 10:30PM and the first thing I did was to meet with the band TSUBO; I got the chance to check some of the merchs they have for that event the same with the other fellas from the 2 other bands performing that night. I wanted to get the DIORRHEA/PROLETAR split but it was only pressed in 7" vinyl, I was chatting and introducing myself to Enrico (Guitar) before they finally hit the stage for their set.
DIORRHEA performed first, goofy yet astounding set punishing my eardrums with unrelentless blastcore from start to finish. Next up was KRYDOME which is more of a crunch slam old school death metal with a really edged drumming making the crowd banged and blowned; they finished the set with a special extra appearance from their half band MUCULORDS with almost the same members wearing halloween masks and playing a different yet enigmatic style of grindcore.
Finally the stage is up for grab for TSUBO. Started the set with a warm greetings and appreciation, applauded by supporters and fans who've waited for the bands new material. Without further delay the band greeted us with heavy artillery and barrage of piercing grindcore insanity. Pumping the crowd up with tracks from their latest opus handedly bringing the booming stage to decrepit ramshackling chaos; with their energetic and all-out burst style. This was surely one of the best show I've been in my almost a year of stint here in Rome well not too crowded for an extreme musick gathering like the ones with the Nasum-Wormrot show a few months ago but this is all about support and recognition to Rome's finest grindlords should I say.
It was an exhausting night yet rewarding show from the start finishing with a delapidating nerve wrecked edge. I took a souvenir TSUBO embroidered cap and the CD for the review and it would not been evidenced without the photos so I have some of it to share.
